News was received here last week telling of the death of Mr. Griffith Campbell at his home in St. Aleo, California. The body will be sent here and the funeral and burial services will be held at Society Baptist Church next Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Mr. Campbell is a native of Davie county but went west about 25 years ago. He is a brother of our townsman J.B. Campbell. He had many old friends in Davie who will be sorry to learn of his death.
Mr. Campbell was born Feb. 23rd, 1867, and died May 1, 1922, aged 55 years, 2 mos., 9 days. He died of cancer of the stomach.
