George Revis Killed and His Assailant Shot at Polling Place, Nov. 8, 1922

George W. Revis Is Killed in Jackson. . . Alleged Murderer Shot by Another Man; Both Are Now Being Held

Sylva, Nov. 7—George W. Revis, Republican leader and one of the most prominent residents of Jackson County, was shot and instantly killed by Walter Fisher at a polling place in Barker’s Creek township this afternoon, and Fisher was then shot by Joe Sutton, according to officers who are holding Fisher on a murder charge and Sutton on a charge of attempted murder.
