Frank M. Bond and Harry Smith, the defendants in the sensational Edenton case in Superior Court last week, who were charged with assault with intent to commit assault on a female, were found guilty, and each of the defendants were sentenced to pay $300 and all costs.
The parties on whom the assault was committed were Miss Viola White, 16-year-old Edenton girl, and her sister, Mrs. Arthur Edwards, 17 years old. Arthur Edwards was held as witness to the assault which occurred on October 18.
