Mr. J.B. Beck of Erect had the misfortune on last Sunday of having his home completely destroyed by fire. Mr. Beck and his family were inside the house and had not discovered the fire. Some colored people were passing and made the discovery, whereupon they notified Mr. Brown’s family that the entire roof was burning. Some of the furniture was saved.
