Herewith Miss Katherine Farmer, Union county’s health nurse, presents her report for the month of March:
Visited and gave health talks to 1,036 children in the following schools: Rock Rest, Salem, Cornith, New Hope, Plylers, Mountain Springs, Carmel, Beulah, Antioch, Flint Ridge, Jackson, Forset College Hill, Stewart, Turner, Bellfield, McCains (col.), and Craig (col.).
Made physical examination of 886 children in the following schools: Gilboa, Oaklan, Faulks, Snyders, Icemorlee, Lee Park, Rock Rest, Salem, Union in Lanes Creek, Belfield, Corinth, Mountain Springs, Carmel and Prospect.
Schools visited for conference with teachers: Marshville, Stevens, Gilboa, High Ridge, Union in Lanes Creek, Wesley Chapel, Weddington, Cedar Grove, Brief, Carmel, New Hope, Plylers, Trinity, Mt. Pleasant, Benton Heights, Indian Trail, Macedonia and Monroe.
Met with Waxhaw Woman’s club for health talk. Also met with mothers in Oakland school community for talk on health.
Conference with 90 mothers in office and 35 mothers in groups.
Two hundred children have done Modern Health Crusade chores for two consecutive weeks.
Ten babies’ names have been registered with State Health Department, Raleigh, and mothers furnished with book on How to Care for the Baby.
Seven midwives have completed the instruction and have received certificates.
