From the front page of the Durham Morning Herald, Tuesday, July 17, 1923. The newspaper printed the last name Aldredge also spelled Aldridge. Colored is denoted by a c in parentheses, but my computer makes that a copyright symbol, so I’ve used a capital C. Several names have commas after what appears to be the middle name and before the last name. I’ve come across many spellings of George as Geogre—perhaps I am wrong in changing it to George? Asheville is consistently misspelled in the article.
