Elizabeth City, July 29—The first five-county picnic for Elizabeth City is planned for August 9, when farmer families of Currituck, Camden, Pasquotank, Perquimans and Chowan will meet at the old fair grounds just outside of the city.
The event will have all the characteristics of a real old-fashioned picnic with music and speeches by prominent men of the section, and by men who have messages of interest concerning the farmer’s problems.
