The many complaints of our neighbors along the Southern Railway, and our own experience brings up the point of securing for Reidsville some solution of the situation. Among other projects is the thought to inaugurate a freight truck line form Madison or Stoneville—a trolley or steam line across country from Henderson by way of Oxford, Roxboro, Yanceyville and Reidsville to Madison, thus placing this section on good competition basis through two roads, N. & w. and Seaboard Air Line. It is understood that there was a survey made of this or a similar route and it is hoped to interest those now holding that survey.
We are advised that car load shipments can be made to Danville, there broken up and trucked into Reidsville for much less than by southern Railway from Danville to Reidsville.
Our business men are asked to think the matter over that some scheme may be devised to present enterprises now located here and to insure additional plants.
