Dr. and Mrs. Warren and family spent Sunday in Winston Salem.

Mr. and Mrs. R.P. Hall and Miss Leone Hopper were the dinner guests of Mrs. S.L. Taylor of Stoneville Sunday.

Mrs. Frank Joyce returned from Washington last night after spending several days there on an excursion.

Mrs. Oscar Shepherd returned to Winston Salem yesterday afternoon after spending the day with Mrs. Lucile Reid at the Carolina Home.

Miss Betty Reynolds returned to Leaksville yesterday after spending some time at Buffalo Lithia Springs.

Mr. Elliott Ivie, who has been spending several days at the Millnen Home near Axton, returned to Leaksville yesterday.

Mrs. John Benton Fields, who is spending some time with Mrs. Jim Price in the country, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moir last night.

Mr. John Patterson returned to Greensboro last night after spending several days in town with friends.

Miss Mary Sue Farrell left this morning for Greensboro. She will be a student in Greensboro College there.

The meeting of the Philathea class of the Leaksville Baptist church has been postponed on account of the Revival meeting at the Leaksville Presbyterian Church. The date for the meeting will be announced later.

Dr. and Mrs. J.B. Ray spent yesterday afternoon in Greensboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Watson Scott and children of Winston Salem spent Saturday and Sunday in Leaksville as the guests of Miss Laura Scott.

Mrs. Numa Reid of Wentworth and guest Miss Emma Chaffin of Mocksville spent yesterday in Leaksville with friends.

Mrs. S.H. Marshall, Mrs. E.V. Hobbs, Mrs. Ernest Wall, Mr. James Marshall and Miss Lily Marshall are spending the day in Greensboro shopping.

Mr. and Mrs. Chandler Entertain at Dance

Mr. and Mrs. James Chandler delightfully entertained a number of their friends at an informal dance Monday evening from 8 to 11.

Refreshing fruit punch was served during the entire evening. Those present at this enjoyable affair were: Misses Mary Sue and Ruth Farrell, Lucile and Henriet Reid, Bessie Clark, Mary Marshall, Kathleen Price, Bessie Heiner, Evelyn Ivie and Miss Hendrick, Messrs. Phill Wall, Thornton Hill, Philip and William Ray, Harry Fagge, Veazey Gunn, Julian Marley, James Marshall, Alfred Goodwin, James and Nathan Richrdson, Humbert Wallace and Norwood Hopper.
