Christmas was enjoyed very much both by the young and old.
Mr. A.C. Dellinger is seriously sick at his home near Lowesville.
Mrs. M.P. Duckworth is ill at her home in East Lincoln.
Mrs. Robert Hager is not much improved.
“Tis sad to state that our friend Mrs. Salie Dellinger of which we spoke last week has departed this life, leaving to mourn their loss many children and grand children and a host of relatives and friends.
On last Wednesday Mr. Julius McConnell of East Lincoln butchered a nice porker weighing 355 being only 9 months old.
Mr. T.L. Helton also butchered a nice one 13 months old weighing 414 pounds.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl McIntosh’s baby is very sick with attack of pneumonia.
Mr. Deck Helton and Mr. Felix McCorkle of Lowesville motored to Cabarrus County to the home of a friend to hunt. They reported a fine time and plenty of game.
Miss Blanche Daniels of Charlotte is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Earl McConnell of Lowesville.
Mrs. Earson Beatty of Mt. Holly spent the Yuletide with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Dellinger.
Mr. and Mrs. P.L. Torrence and children, Harold and Jean, and Mr. Houston Daniels of Charlotte are spending the day with Mrs. Torrence’s father, Mr. Julius McConnell.
Mrs. M.M. Sherrill of East Lincoln is in the hospital at Charlotte, for an operation.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. John Sifford, a fine boy.
Last Saturday Mr. Houston Sherrill was rendered unconscious for a few hours from the branches of a tree striking him about the head while cutting wood near his home in East Lincoln.
Mr. J.H. Hager just returned from a business trip to Denver, N.C., and reports the roads in very bad condition.
