Agricultural Club Has Feast, chickens From Home Flocks, Feb. 14, 1924

Agricultural Club. . . Boys Interested in Farming Have a Big Feast

The Agricultural club of the Chapel Hill school, composed of boys whose main interest is farming, had a banquet Friday night in the basement room at the west end of the school building. Miss Hellen Schell, director of the cafeteria, had charge of serving the feast. The chickens for it were supplied by the club members from their own home flocks.

Among those present were Melvin Lloyd, Lewis Lloyd, Benson Ray, Bruce Sparrow, Thurman Partin, John Williams, James Fowler, Hubert Hogan, Clyde Hogan, and Early Byrd. Guests of the club were R.W. Cline, H.N. Kelly, R.P. Harris, Miss Lettie Glass, and Miss Schell. The boys were much delighted after the banquet by receiving from George Denny a batch of complimentary tickets to the performance of the Playmakers. They accepted the gifts with enthusiasm and enjoyed the plays mightily.
