Gertrude Alexander Replacing Anna Rowe as Home Demonstration Agent, Feb. 17, 1924

New Home Agent Will Begin Work. . . Miss Gertrude Alexander Learns New Field from Miss Anna C. Rowe

Miss Gertrude Alexander, newly arrived Durham home demonstration agent, spent the week-end with Miss Anna C. Rowe, former home agent here, in going over her new field of work, and is now prepared to begin her duties with full activity on Monday morning. The new home agent has worked for some time at Lexington in the same work and is well acquainted with the program outlined for her.

Miss Alexander has a special interest in young girls and states that she hoped to organize a number of girls’ clubs throughout the county.

Miss Rowe returns Sunday to her position in Catawba county, where she is now organizing a work much similar to the one she successfully supervised here for nearly four years.
