Sentenced to 6 Months on Roads for Beating Wife, Sent Back to Her Because She Needs Money, Feb. 15, 1924

Up for Wife Beating

R.M. Tinsdale, negro, was sentenced to six months on the roads in police court Tuesday for beating his wife shortly after she had given birth to a baby. However the destitute condition of the wife and baby won leniency from the court and the sentence was suspended on condition that Tinsdale behave and support his family.
