R.M. Tinsdale, negro, was sentenced to six months on the roads in police court Tuesday for beating his wife shortly after she had given birth to a baby. However the destitute condition of the wife and baby won leniency from the court and the sentence was suspended on condition that Tinsdale behave and support his family.
