Dr. G.A. Martin’s Mother Died Wednesday

Dr. G.A. Martin, pastor of the First Baptist Church, returned to the city Friday night from the sad mission of the burial of his mother. Mrs. Martin died at the old home near Mt. Airy Wednesday morning and was buried Thursday afternoon. She was in her 80th year.

She was the mother of 10 children, nine of whom live. She had lived a beautiful Christian life for 56 years and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her. She invested her life in her children and lived to rejoice in the rich fruitage of her investment.
