Mrs. L.V. Spears Buried Today, March 8, 1924

Death Friday Night of Mrs. L.V. Spears. . . Death Occurred at Her Home in County—Funeral Services Held This Afternoon

Mrs. L.V. Spears died Friday night at 10:50 o’clock at her home in this county after a serious illness of several days. She had been so critically ill for several days that death was not unexpected.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 4 o’clock at Rocky River Presbyterian Church, and interment was made in the cemetery of that church.

Mrs. Spears was born March 9th, 1869, and would have been 55r years of age had she lived until Sunday. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Johnson and was born and reared in Mecklenburg county.

Surviving are the husband the following children: Dewep Spears and Misses Ethel, Thelma, Mildred and Nina Spears, all of whom live at home.

Mrs. Spears was a member of a prominent family of this and Mecklenburg counties, and the announcement of her death was received with sincere sorrow in her circle of relatives and friends.
