The members of the Brotherhood and Circle No. 2 of the Spray Episcopal Church gathered at the home of Miss Annie Simpson on February 28th for a farewell social to Harry A. Sterling, who is leaving Sunday night for the Southern Seminary.
Music and games were enjoyed during the evening in which everyone was glad to join.
Everyone was delighted to see Miss Bettie Gordon, who has been in Charlotte several weeks with her mother.
Everyone received a little rose and basket filled with candy, blue or yellow, as souvenirs of this event.
James Curry represented the Brotherhood and Mrs. Will Sykes in bidding Mr. Stirling God’s speed.
Just before breaking up, everyone joined in and sang “God Be With You ‘Till We Meet Again.”
