Funeral services for Edmund F. Correll, who died suddenly Thursday morning following a stroke of apoplexy, were held this morning at 10 o’clock at the home of South Union Street. Services were conducted by Rev. W.A. Jenkins, pastor of Central Methodist Church, of which Mr. Correll was a member, assisted by Rev. J.O. Eller, pastor of Salem Church.
The Methodist Church ritual was used at the services, both at the home and the grave, and several hymns were sung by members of the church choir.
All of Mr. Correll’s children and his brother, A.B. Correll of Spartanburg, were here for the services. Mrs. George B. Telfair of Pittsburgh arrived Friday night and the other children arrived Thursday shortly after being informed of their father’s death.
Pall bearers for the services were A.F. Hartsell, A.B. Pounds, G.C. Love, W.B. Ward, Wyatt Moose, M.L. Marsh, W.A. Foil and W. Scott Frieze. Interment was made in Oakwood cemetery.
