Charles Maynard, 16-year-old Durham boy who has been for the past three years at Jackson Training school, has been paroled and will return to his home in Durham within the next few days.
Since his stay at the school, Maynard has been developed into a singer of unusual ability for his age, and each Sunday for the past several months he has sung in various churches in the vicinity of Concord. The Mooresville Record of recent date gives him an excellent review.
Superintendent Stanley plans to have Maynard sing before one of the local civic clubs on his return to Durham.
Six other Durham boys at the school are said to be slated for early parole.
