Beats Wife Fatally, Then Takes Own Life

Spartanburg, S.C., June 27—After fatally beating his wife with a shot gun, Louis Thompson, 70 years old, a prosperous farmer of near Switzer, cut his own throat with a pocket knife and then hanged himself.
