Major William Barrett, commanding officer of the Salvation Army in the Carolinas, will be in New Bern this afternoon, accompanied by his staff and the staff band. At 3 o’clock this afternoon Major Barrett will conduct at service at the Centenary Methodist Church. At 7 o’clock, a service will be held on the Elks corner, and at 8 o’clock, Major Barrett will conduct a joint service at the Centenary Methodist Church. The public is cordially invited to attend all services.
