Friday night, Jud Peterson of Nags Head, lost his home, store, stock and household furniture by fire. Scarcely anything was saved as the fire was well under way and Mr. Peterson had just time enough to get his wife and children out of the cottage. His home was on the sound side at Nags Head, and the origin of the fire is unknown.
