F.G. Godfrey leaves today by motor for Charlotte, where he will attend the annual meeting of the North Carolina section of the American Waterworks Association.

Robert Pittman passed through the city last night, en route to Morehead City, where he will spend the week-end.

Miss Clyde Duncan left yesterday afternoon, returning home to Beaufort, after spending the day in the city with Miss Sally Kafer.

J.W. Brinson of Verona arrived in the city yesterday afternoon and will spend several days here with relatives. Mrs. E.W. Couch returned to the city yesterday afternoon from Petersburg, where she had been visiting relatives for several days.

Mrs. S.W. Gregory left yesterday, returning to Elizabeth City, after spending several days in the city visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ned Griffin, and Mrs. G. Allen Ives.

M.L. Gaskins arrived in the city yesterday afternoon and will spend a short time here on business.

Horace German left yesterday afternoon for Raleigh, where he will spend a short time on business.

Thomas Boyd left yesterday afternoon for Florence, S.C., after spending a short time in the city on business.

Karl Rau left yesterday afternoon for Wilmington, after spending a short time in the city on business.

Miss Thelma Carter arrived in the city yesterday and will spend the week-end here with her friends.

Marcus Block returned home yesterday after spending several days out of the city on business.

Jack Sterrett left yesterday for Washington, N.C., after spending several days in the city on business.

H.D. Tomlinson arrived in the city yesterday morning, and will spend several days here on business.

Elvridge Mitchell arrived in the city yesterday from Charlotte and will spend the week-end here with relatives.

Rev. C.W. Blanchard left yesterday for Wallace, where he will spend the week-end.

W.H. Davis left yesterday morning for Morehead City, where he will spend a short time on business.

Eugene Bryan left last night for Norfolk, where he will spend a short time on business.
