Women to Fill Stockings for Disabled Vets at Oteen Hospital, Dec. 11, 1924

Give to Oteen Patients. . . Women of Chapel Hill Fill Stockings for Disabled Veterans

The women of Chapel Hill are going to fill Christmas stockings for the disabled world war veterans in Oteen Hospital near Asheville. This is a joint enterprise of the Community Club and the American Legion.

Contributions are invited. They may take the form either of money or of such articles as the patients might like to have at Christmas, such as chewing gum, cigarettes, candy, writing materials, ties and hosiery.

An announcement of the plan will be made in the churches Sunday. A member of each church has been designated to receive gifts: Miss Annie Belle Durham (Baptist), Miss Lillian Long (Christian), Miss Mary Cobb (Episcopal), Mrs. Auburn Leigh (Presbyterian), and Mrs. John M. Williams (Methodist).
