Raynor Cartwright Arrested Aug. 7, 1925, Charged with Theft

Young White Man Is Charged with TheftYoung White Man Is Charged with Theft Charged with theft of $9.80 from the home of J.M. Ownley in Mt. Hermon township, Raynor Cartwright, young white man living in that community, was arrested here Friday shortly after noon by Chief of Police Holmes, and was released Saturday morning under $100 bond pending a hearing in recorder’s court Monday morning.

Nobody was at home when the robbery is alleged to have occurred. A neighbor claimed to have seen Cartwright leaving the house, and he was trailed to this city. A search of his person after his arrest yielded up $9.75 in cash in denominations corresponding to those of the bills and change which Mr. Ownley says were stolen from his residence.
