Burglars Take Shoes, Cigarettes, Canned Goods and an Empty Cash Register, Oct. 15, 1925

Harrill Bros. Store Visited by Burglars

Thieves entered the store of Harrill Bros. in the West End Tuesday night by breaking a small window in the rear of the store. A ladder was used to gain entrance through the aperture. All windows except this small one, high up in the rear, had been fortified with iron bars.

The thieves carried the cash register across the railroad, where it was found practically demolished. There was no cash in the register. A metal case containing charge accounts was found intact near where the cash register was broken open.

Among the missing goods from the store were shoes, cigarettes, canned goods, etc. The loss could not be accurately estimated, but was rather small.

Officers are at work on the case but with very few clues to work.
