Union of Northern and Southern Presbyterians

Petersburg, Va., March 28—The Committee on the Union of the General Assembly of the Northern and Southern Presbyterian organizations, which met here yesterday, reached a tentative agreement for the merging of the bodies into a federal General Assembly it became known here today. The tentative plans have not been made public but it is announced that the general Northern Assembly will meet May 15^th in St. Louis, Mo., in order to consider a proposal that the Southern General Assembly shall meet in New Orleans on the same date.
