Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Daniel and family entertained a number of friends and relatives Sunday.
Elder W.B. Harrington returned Sunday from a several day visit in Hyde county.
Messrs. W.B. Daniel, Matthew Bissell, Coy J. Roberson and J. Edward Corey returned from Hyde county on Sunday where they have been spending a few days. While there they drive Mr. Matthews’ car across Madamosquiet lake. [probably meant Mattamuskeet] His was the second car ever drove across the lake.
Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Manning had a number of visitors Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Claudius entertained relatives from Bear Grass and Williamston Sunday.
Miss Estelle Coltrain was the guest of Miss Connie Roberson Monday.
Miss Rosa Griffin and Miss Effie Griffin of Lilley’s Hall were the guests of Miss Pruey Harson on Monday night.
Mr. J.D. Mizell went to Williamston Tuesday to attend to business.
Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Corey went to see Mr. John A. Revels yesterday, who is suffering with a sore leg.
Mrs. W.T. Roberson and Mrs. N.S. Roberson were in Washington yesterday shopping.
