Representatives of the two University debating societies, the Di and the Phi, will meet tomorrow night in Gerrard Hall in the annual Mary D. Wright Memorial debate. The Phi will uphold the affirmative and the Di the negative of the question, “Resolved, that the United States should grant immediate recognition to the present Russian government. The Phi’s speakers are John E. Cooper of Clinton and T.E. Clemmons of Hillsboro, with W.T. Couch of Chapel Hill as alternate; the Di’s are Robert L. Cook of Winston-Salem and M.H. Mogelescu of South Carolina, with A.S. Kartus of Asheville as alternate.
