Statesville, N.C., February 2—When Alice Wilson, negro woman, refused to give her a “dip of snuff,” Lillie May Connihead (?), also a negress, 9 years of age, late yesterday afternoon ran into her home, secured a shotgun and fired upon the woman, wounding her fatally, it is believed.
The Connihead girl has been arrested. The Wilson woman originally was from Catawba county, it is said.
