No Successor Yet for State Senator

Lenoir, Nov. 14—By order of Governor Morrison a writ of election was served on Chairman Cottrell of the Caldwell County election board by Sheriff Triplett last week. This writ calls for the election to be held on November 15 to elect a successor for J.E. Canipe of Marion, who resigned as senator from the 33rd Senatorial District.

Four counties make up the 33rd district: Caldwell, Alexander, Burke and McDowell. According to information reaching here, no effort is being made to hold this election in the district. There has been no primary or convention held to elect candidates, and at present, it is not known whether any announcement will be made or not.
