100-Bushel Corn Club Members, Henderson and Transylvania Counties, 1936

100-Bushel Club—Each of the farmers, vocational agriculture students or 4-H club members shown above produced more than 100 bushels of corn to the acre in the Henderson-Transylvania corn-growing contest. Among those in the picture are W.A. Franklin, teacher of agriculture at Flat Rock, who is seated on the left; E.T. Frisbie and R.D. Bruce, vocational teachers at Mills River and Etowah, respectively, who are seated fourth and fifth from the left. G.D. White, Henderson County agent, is shown standing in the middle of the second row.
