Throws Family Bank Roll Into the Fire

Burnsville, N.C., March 13—Charley Austin of Paint Gap, Yancey County, who used a tobacco sack as a depository for valuables, forgot to inform his wife of the contents of the pouch, and it was not until after she had thrown it into the fire that she knew she had burned the savings of the family. Several greenback were lost.
