Mr. Fleming, 78, Dies After His Legs Were Broken, Sept. 17, 1923

While going to church Sunday evening, August 12, Mr. Fleming of Statesville was struck by an automobile driven by J.E. Shoemaker and both his legs were fractured. He was taken to the Davis hospital for treatment, but owing to his advanced age, he was unable to rally. He was 78 years of age.
