Charlotte, N.C., July 18—Mrs. W.H. Mahone of Atlanta, Ga., died at the home of her son, W.M. Mahone, of apoplexy last night. She was 76 years old and a daughter of the late Rev. C.W. Key and a sister of Bishop J.S. Key of the Methodist Episcopal church.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon.
Mrs. Mahone, together with other relatives, recently became widely known through efforts of herself and members of her family to obtain a settlement regarding property in New York City, said to have been leased for 100 years by her father, and said now to be worth millions of dollars. She came to Charlotte recently.
