Social Items From Brevard News, July 8, 1921

Over $40 Taken In

The ice cream supper at Blantyre last Saturday night was a complete success. Something over $40 was taken in. The supper was given for the benefit of the Community Fair.

Toxaway Items

Born to Mr. and Mrs. John Gravely June 29th a daughter.

Mrs. J.H. McKinna and daughter have been on the sick list for the last week, but are improving.

Rev. Thomas of Rosman, N.C., and Rev. Ed. Summey of Pickens, S.C., are to hold a meeting at the M.E. Church next week.

Prayer meeting was reorganized at the M.E. Church Sunday evening by Mr. Hall and Mr. Breedlove. Every one is urged to attend the services.

The rains are doing serious damage to the farmers of this place.

Wedding Announced Mrs. Gussie Kelly announces the marriage of her daughter, Florence Irene, to E.S. Koon, June 29th, 1921, Asheville, N.C.

Aston Heath of Penrose and Lucille Wilson of Pisgah Forest.

E.E. Hill of Greenville, S.C., and Dorothy W. Bradley of Selma, Ala.
