City Jails 30 on Violation of Prohibition Laws, Oct. 1, 1923

Kinston Rum River Lands 30 in Prison

Winston, Oct. 1—Every policeman here joined the booze squad at the week-end. Today, when the first smoke of a city-wide drive on alleged bootleggers and other violators of the prohibition laws had cleared away, 30 persons were in jail or under bond. Both whites and blacks, men and women, were included.
