Stribling Returns Easy Victory Over “Kid” Numbers. . . Stribling Had the Better of Every Round, Baffling Numbers with His Superior Knowledge of Ring Tactics

Fort Bragg, N.C., Jan. 3—Young Stribling, sensational light-heavy-weight school-boy pugilist of Macon, Ga., tonight won from Kid Numbers soldier-fighter of Fort Bragg by a knockout in the fourth round of the scheduled 15-round fight.

In the opinion of newspapermen at the ringside, Stribling had the better of every round, apparently baffling Numbers with his superior knowledge of ring tactics.
