In response to an appeal for aid to the Orange county widow suffering from tuberculosis, the following contributions have been received: Friend in Greensboro, $5; Anonymous, $5; Mrs. G.C. Hampton, $1; George B. Logan Jr., $10. Together with the $73.25 previously acknowledged, this makes $94.25 contributed through the Chapel Hill Weekly. And the widow will receive $3 through the subscription of W.C. Hudson to the Dearborn Independent; Bruce Strowd offered to turn in $2.50 to the fund for each such subscription, in addition to the regular agent’s commission of 50 cents. (Later: $2 from Mrs. A. ?
