Thieves Carry Off Loot from Pittman Home, April 1, 1924

Thieves Entered J.L. Pittman Home. . . Thieves Carried Off Loot of Considerable Value from Vance Street Home Early Saturday Night; Left No Clues

Thieves entered the back door of the home of Mr. J.L. Pittman, 564 W. Vance street, early Saturday night and stole several suits of clothes, a suitcase, a Smith and Wesson pistol, and several other articles of value. The police were notified of the robbery but no arrests have been made as yet.

No one was at home at the time of the robbery, the back door was broken in and the house was littered with misplaced articles. No one was seen entering or loitering around the home and the police have no clues upon which to work.
