Burlington, Dec. 6--Funeral services were held yesterday over the remains of Alson B. Nicholson, one of the prominent citizens of Graham, who died at the hospital here Tuesday, following an illness of only a few days. Mr. Nicholson was 69 years old, and is survived by his wife and nine children: L.G. Nicholson, Miss Izora Nicholson, Mrs. J.A. Albright, and A.B. Nicholson Jr., all of Graham; Mrs. E.A. Pipkin, Morven; Mrs. Hattie Murray, Burlington; W.M. Nicholson, Greensboro; and Mrs. Herbert Holt and M.A. Nicholson, Troy.
A brief funeral service was held at the home by Rev. D.E. Williams and Rev. G.W. Holmes, and the body carried to Mt. Hermon church, south of Graham, and interred there.
Mr. Nicholson was a contractor and had been in Graham many years.
