State Champion Holstein Owned by Mrs. J.F. Stephens of Greensboro, Dec. 9, 1924

State’s Champion Holstein Cow

Raleigh, N.C., Dec. 9—North Carolina’s new champion Holstein cow for production of butter in one yea as a senior two-year-old is Ailsa Netherland Beets of the herd of Mrs. J.F. Stephens at Greensboro. Her record is 14,367.5 pounds of milk containing 493.18 pounds of butterfat, equal to 616.4 pounds of butter, according to announcement by the advanced registry department of the Holstein Friesian Association of America, with headquarters in Chicago.

As a consequence of this record Ailsa Netherland Beets displaces the former state leader, Lady Beulah Reka, also owned by Mrs. Stephens.
