Ethel Williams has passed. As a co-worker with her for a year and three months, I wish to give a word of appreciation.
She became a member of the faculty of the Brown-Norcott school in September, 1923. As a teacher she was kind, loving, gentle, with a firmness that every child liked. Her work was a success always. She planned it, studied it, lived for it. Her first thoughts were always of her pupils and friends. She made herself happy in making others happy. Even after the cruel hand of disease got its grasp upon her, she thought and planned for her school work, and dreamed of the day when she would return.
All of us at the Brown-Norcott school are made very sad by her going, but the memory of her sweet and unselfish personality we shall carry with us always.
The highest tribute I can pay to Ethel Williams is the simple statement that every child in our school loved her.
Mayher rest be peaceful and sweet.
