T.J. White Jr., who was injured Christmas Day when he was struck over the head by R.G. Hutchen of Thrift in an altercation on Depot Street just in front of Scotia Seminary, has returned from the hospital in Charlotte where he had gone to have a small piece of skull removed. The operation was not a serious one, Mr. White remaining there only a few days.
The quarrel with Hutchen on Christmas day came about when Hutchen, who later admitted that he was intoxicated, twice bumped into the car Mr. White was driving. White took the pistol away and it was then that Mr. White was hit over the head with the pistol.
