2-Month-Old Baby Girl Abandoned at Bathing Pavilion, June 8, 1925

Infant Abandoned at Bathing Pavilion. . . Daintily Dressed Two-Month-Old Girl Found in Pasteboard Box

Greensboro, June 8—A baby girl, about two months old, daintily dressed, was found on the steps of the pavilion at Thomasville swimming pool on the outskirts of the city this morning, its cries attracting the keeper of the grounds. It was in a pasteboard box with two bottles of milk and a fine wardrobe. A woman’s handkerchief was in the box and a half dollar. The child was taken to the North Carolina Children’s Home here and it was so good looking that two women offered to adopt it four hours after it was found.
