Winston-Salem, June 9—Pleasant H. Hanes, president of the P.H. Hanes Knitting Company, which conducts one of the largest industrial plants in the South, died at his home here about 8 o’clock tonight, aged 70.
Mr. Hanes had been in failing health for several years, though up to two years ago he kept in close touch with is large business interests.
