Forest City, R-2, Sept. 8—The dry weather is continuing in this section. Mr. and Mrs. G.D. McSwain were pleasant visitors at Mr. P.G. Womick’s Monday. Mrs. T.J. Toms and daughter, Mattie, spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Randall of Caroleen.

Mrs. Ulysses Toms spent Monday at her father’s, Mr. H.L. Fortune’s.

Mr. W.T. Toms and son, Glen, are spending a few days in the mountains.

Mr. and Mrs. T.J. toms spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Matheny.

Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Randall and Mr. and Mrs. P.G. Toms spent Sunday at Mr. A.G. Randall’s.

Rev. Charles B. Trammel made an interesting talk at Mt. Pleasant Sunday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Matheny left Monday for Charlotte where Mr. Matheny will take a position with the Southern Railway Co.

Miss Nellie Vassey and Mr. Clark Matheny, Misses Ola and Flora Matheny, Ossie, Mattie and Maudie Toms, and Messrs. Robert Guffey and Woodrow Matheny went to Rutherford hospital Sunday to see Mrs. Charlie James, Mrs. John Webb and Mrs. Dewey Hodge.

Mr. and Mrs. Grady Jenkins spent Sunday with Mrs. Jenkins’ parent, Mr. Jake Elmore.
