Mrs. H.E. Ownley of Okisko was in the city Friday shopping.

Henry C. Burgess of Old Trap was in the city on business Friday.

Mrs. B.T Tarkenton is improving after a few days’ illness at her home on West Fearing street.

Miss Lola Swindell returned Thursday from the Sarah Leigh Hospital at Norfolk, where she has been for treatment.

Dr. W.B. Stevens of Shiloh was in the city Friday on business.

James Seymour is ill at his home on West Fearing street.

Henry Newbold of Sanford is spending a few days in the city, having been called here by the serious illness of his mother, Mrs. S.C. Newbold.

Bradford Sanders Jr., a student at North Carolina State College, Raleigh, is at home to spend the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bradford Sanders Sr., 401 North Road street.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Twiford, North Poindexter street, Sunday, March 7, a son, Russell Etheridge.

Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Chambers of Camden were in the city Friday shopping.

Elisha Harris, City Route Five, was in the city on business Friday.
