No rain yet, but we are still hoping.
Paul Coley is at home from the A. and M. College, having been a student there the past term.
Mrs. Jno. W. Odom of Wadesboro has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Dry, on Route 2.
Miss Mary Furr and Mrs. Starnes of Kannapolis were Sunday visitors here.
W.J. and J.R. Hartsell of Kannapolis have each purchased a lot joining that of the Baptist Church on the Concord road.
Mrs. R.W. Simpson spent Saturday in Concord, combining business and pleasure. She was the Sunday guest of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Honeycutt of Red Cross.
Doom has been pronounced upon the faithful old organ in the Baptist Church. It is to be replaced by a new, up-to-date piano. Old things pass away—everything is replaced by something newer and better.
