100 Children at St. Andrews Sunday School Gathered to Listen to Record Player, Feb. 4, 1919

From the Hickory Daily Record, Feb. 4, 1919

Mr. Russell Entertains Children of St. Andrews

The primary department of St. Andrews’ Sunday school was given a delightful treat Sunday afternoon by Mr. Dallas H. Russell. There were about 100 young people present, who manifested a lively interest in what was going on.

For half an hour the school listened attentively to several pieces of sacred music rendered by Mr. Russell’s Edison, after which, in a brief intermission, the children enjoyed a treat of fruit. Then more record were heard, at the conclusion of which all arose and heartily thanks Mr. Russell for a very enjoyable hour.

Mr. Russell, in response to the children’s greeting, made an appropriate talk, urging the young people to be faithful and regular in their attendance at Sunday school.
